Tradition holds that many things go wrong with any given wedding. Indeed, if we weren’t already encountering setbacks and hitches I would be quite worried.
So far, we’ve had two. The favours arrived on Friday, they’re very beautiful and just what I wanted but sadly they have the wrong date printed on them. I’m being calm about it.
However, I just had an email from the lady who was supposed to be doing my hair and makeup on the day, to say that she’s not going to be able to help after all due to illness. This has rather dented my calm, since I’m rubbish at doing makeup and not that great at doing hair, and I now have less than two weeks to find a replacement. If anyone knows of a good hair and makeup service in Telford, I’m in the market…

I’m sure a million people have said to keep calm, carry on, it’ll all work out on the day etc, so wanted to add my name to that!
But also wanted to say that if you really get desperate with the make-up situation (which hopefully you’ve fixed now anyway), I’d recommend going to somewhere like a MAC counter and getting a wedding make-up lesson. That’s what I did and I found them really helpful. Of course that doesn’t help with the hair, and I won’t pretend it’s easy to put eyeliner on straight half an hour before getting married, and this assumes that you have some spare time in the next week and a half! Thought I’d chip in anyway. Take care and see you soon!

If you get really really desperate I could do your make up
. I have thermal rollers too if that’s what you were going for. Plus you know me well enough to say na jen don’t like the look of that. That’s what I used for my wedding. You will look beautiful no matter what!
The crisis is thankfully sorted out, JTA found me a new hair’n'makeup lady (he’s good like that), but thanks for the advice and offer of help, ladies. You’re both very lovely!
